Q: What is a Village?

A: Click on the following link for an overview - Village Movement.

Q: Are there any Villages in North Carolina presently?

A: There are 12 Villages registered with the V2V network in North Carolina (some established, a handful in development). St James of Southport has a well established 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was launched in 2018 - St James Nest  - which is an example of how a Village can evolve over time.

Q: What will the Compass Pointe Village offer to its members?

A: The Compass Point Cares organization has partnered with Brunswick Senior Resource Center team to launch a Village focused on offering services to residents of Compass Point who belong to the Compass Point Caregivers group in an effort to lend a hand to our neighbors who are routinely caring for a loved one. As the Village matures, we anticipate that we will be offering additional services to the broader community in a phased manner.

Q: How do I become a member of the Compass Pointe Village?

A: Membership is being targeted to Compass Pointe Cares & Compass Pointe Caregivers members for the initial phase of the Village launch in an effort to keep the community small as we navigate the service offering logistics for the Compass Pointe Village. Members will be either Caregivers requesting assistance or CP Cares volunteers who have signed up to deliver the services being offered in our initial phase of the Compass Pointe Village.
